Responsibilities

The OPIR Systems Engineer is responsible for maintaining OPIR knowledge and can work systems engineering and Integration and Test support a Intelligence Community Joint Program Office.  As the OPIR Systems Engineer, your responsibilities would include:

  • Overhead Persistent Infra-Red (OPIR) Subject Matter Expert
  • Understanding of TCPED process and how OPIR is reported
  • Perform Systems Engineering processes for current and new OPIR capabilities
  • Perform Integration and Test procedures on current and new OPIR capabilities
  • Perform Budget Control/Financial Management 
  • Provide Security Classification Advisement
  • Perform User Engagement Consumer Outreach
  • Provide Tech Insertion Support
  • Provide support to Communications and Architecture Modifications
  • Provide Requirements Development Support
  • Facilitate Agile Acquisition Support
  • Draft and Review RFC and participate in RFC TEMs
  • Participate in Joint Working Groups
  • Create briefing slides for various high level forums/presentations; ability to brief senior leaders
  • Provide input and data for reviews and CONOP development
  • Ability to organize/coordinate senior level discussions and staffing of strategic level communication correspondence
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly
  • CISSP cert for ISPO
  • Bachelor’s STEM degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 15 years of related experience with systems security and integration efforts
  • Experience leading and coordinating efforts of systems security professionals
  • Experience managing under a rigorous Systems Security process in a mission critical environment
  • Must be an independent self-starter with strong initiative
  • Must have strong writing/reporting and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to perform in a high-pressure and fast-paced environment
  • Must be flexible in a constantly changing business landscape
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer
